Remembering Gratitude and Appreciation

wormhole-155328_1280Have you ever become caught in the cycle of “everybody hates me, nobody loves me, I’m going to eat some worms.” Did you used to sing this song when you were a kid? We did in the 60s. “Fat ones, skinny ones, juicy, juicy, juicy ones. I’m going to eat some worms.”

I’m doubt I could sing it for you on-key since that’s not one of my skills. (I’ve decided when I come back next life I’m going to be able to sing!)

We would sing that teasing each other when something wasn’t going right in our lives. I didn’t realize until then how appropriate it was for the occasion since we were little kids.

When you allow yourself to focus on the negative in your life you are doing the same thing as eating worms, eating something you don’t like. Unless you’re starving you have a choice of whether to eat worms or not. If you’re starving you’ll take whatever is there.

With memories, you always have a choice. It may seem like you don’t, but you always have a choice. No matter how difficult it is you can use your will power and determination to recall positive memories.

I talk about this in the video below. Enjoy. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
